Welcome to St. Agnes Cathedral School!

It was 1993 when I first stepped into St. Agnes School. Not in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine to be here 20 years later! St. Agnes School is a very special place. It is first of all holy ground, a place where the entire staff feels it is our mission to teach as Jesus taught. We are a Preschool through eighth grade Catholic School located in mid-town Springfield, Missouri. We are a part of the consolidated school system of Springfield Catholic Schools with an enrollment maximum capacity of 285 students.

Many people talk about St. Agnes School as a “hidden jewel”, a school that was discovered by accident or one of which they had heard about but really never visited. The reality is that, St. Agnes is the perfect size for students to learn about the Catholic Faith, receive an excellent education with individual attention, and develop strong social skills and opportunities for families to be involved. St. Agnes believes in the ‘TEAM” approach to our school organization. We believe that God is our coach and the administration, faculty, staff, parents and students make up the TEAM.

Until you visit us and tour our facility you will not truly appreciate the warmth and family atmosphere of St. Agnes School. We can show you very good test scores and high academic expectations in our classrooms. We want you to experience though the Catholic, Christian surroundings that we are most proud. St. Agnes School, likewise, appreciates diversity and devotes a generous part of the day to integrating character values into our curriculum and daily routines.

Our faculty and staff are so committed to our program. We have very little turnover in our staff and a faculty that has many years of experience in the classroom. I invite you again; to visit and observe our teachers teach, see the faces of our students in our hallways, classrooms, Church, and playground. I encourage you to speak to members of our faculty and staff that so that you truly appreciate what St. Agnes School has to offer.
