Dear SCHS Parents,

Congratulations to our Lady Irish Soccer team who place 2nd in the State championships.  So proud of Coach Timson and Hines and all the Lady Irish players!  

Again, we are so proud of the Irish tennis team for their successful season and accomplishments at State!

The Nicaragua Mission trip students and adults have returned safely.  Looking forward to stories and pictures of their week soon.  

Most of the SCHS faculty is in place for the next school year.  I would like to thank Mrs. Amy Dukewits for serving the families for 10 great years at Springfield Catholic High School.  We wish her and her family the best as she moves on in her professional career.  

Taking Mrs. Dukewit’s position and joining the Science Department is Mr. Jeff Stratton.  Mr. Stratton will be teaching Biology, Forensics and Anatomy.  Please welcome him to Springfield Catholic High School.  His email address will be This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..  Mr. Stratton has a taught in the science department at Spokane most recently, has a masters degree in Kinesiology and worked in the  Mercy System.  

I would also like to wish the best to Mrs. Kathleen Bauer for her service to Springfield Catholic High School. Mrs. Bauer has served the SCS for many years and has decided to retire.  Please keep Kathleen and her family in your prayers as she makes this transition.  Mrs. Paige Duda will continue teaching AP Biology and Modern Epidemics.  She will replace Mrs. Bauer  part-time in the Academic Office as the Special Service Coordinator and 9th grade academic counselor..  

A few other additions to our SCHS staff are:  Mr. Dustin Larson as head boys’ basketball coach; Coach Jake Morlan will head the Lady Irish Girls’ basketball team;  Mrs. Theresa Hanafin will lead the Lady Irish volleyball team and  Rachel Prather is now the cheer coach.  Coach Courtney Spitz has been named the Springfield Catholic baseball coach. Please welcome these new people to our Springfield Catholic Family.   

I am attaching the Uniform Policy to this email.  The only real addition is the Land’s End Navy Sweater for Mass Dress for Freshmen girls.  Girls in grades 10-12 are welcome to wear it also but it will not be required.  Boys may now wear navy blue pants in addition to khaki.  Just a reminder that shorts must be purchased from our vendors.  The Team Store also has school approved jackets.  

The 2017-18 supply list for students in grades 9-12 is also included with this mailing.

Southern Studio has sent a link to all senior parents to sign up for senior pictures.  Please do so ASAP.  

Springfield Catholic High School will be closed the week of July 2-9.  Office hours will resume on July 10th.  Please feel free to e-mail if you need anything.

Freshmen Orientation for 9th grade parents and students and Back-to School Night for parents of students in all grades will likewise be on Tuesday, August 15.  More details will follow.
